Located among 15,000-foot volcanoes in the Northern Andes, the Imbabura Province is home to 350,000 people across seven districts. Our programs in Imbabura span from the capital of Ibarra and cultural and commercial center of Otavalo, to the rugged foothills near the border of Colombia.

Headquartered in the tiny village of Paragachi (pop. 250), Vibrant Village in Ecuador has evolved over the years into a force for socio-economic change in the region. We implement and support projects that work to create lasting improvements in agriculture, family health and nutrition, education and economic sustainability. Led by Ecuador program director, Paul Murtha, Vibrant Village Foundation works with communities, local government, and local nonprofit, Montañas de Esperanza.
